Hello folks. I live in Canada, my father Frederick George Rout was born in Huntingdon in 1896. I'm wondering if anybody is working on the Rout Family Tree with whom I can share the data I have. Thanks.

Hi

I noticed your email about your Rout ancestor from the Huntingdon area. As you live in Canada, are you talking about a Huntingdon in Canada or place called Huntingdon in the UK?

If its the one in the UK, my rout ancestors come from Rugby in Warwickshire, which is not too far away from Huntingdon in the UK.

Let me know if you're interested in swapping info, although at the moment I dont have huge amounts of data.

Hi Angie. WOW. How exciting. Hearing from another Rout after so long. I'm speaking of Huntingdon, England, across the Ouse from Godmanchester!!! (Never been there.) I'll be glad to share anything I have with you. I'm not fully organized with all the data yet, but at least I can give you a bit of the family tree with names. I'm 67, retired three years ago today, and the Rout family research is something I will be working on shortly. I did a lot of letter writing back in the 60's and 70's when there was no internet. I'll get something organized and will get back to you before too long. Many thanks for reponding. Have a great day. George

Hello George and Angie, If I may tag along on your inquiries, I am doing some research for a friend until he gets up to speed. Looking for the ancestors of Charles Henry Rout, (1857-1928). George I believe this to be your grandfather?

Hello John Lilly and Angie. My humblest apologies for dropping the ball. The road to hell is paved with many good intentions!!!!! However, I'm alive and well, and finally getting close to working on the Rout family history. I'm all for cloneing, I need one of me just to do the genealogy!!!!

The Charles Rout in our family is a brother of Edmund, Herbert, Florence, Kate, Margaret, Emily and Frederick.

Frederick is my grandfather. He married Alice Slade, and they had my father Frederick George and his sister Edith.

Charles maybe is a son of a JOB Rout. The Charles Rout married Mable (somebody), and have Allan Rout who married Violet, and in turn, they have Hugh & Christine.

I have Family Tree software to load into the computer. So, all my present stuff is on many pieces of papter, letters etc.

My grandfather Frederick Rout was born 1867, died 1908.

My dad Frederick George Rout was born March 30, 1894 in Huntingdon, England and died in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Oct 7, 1953.

I certainly wish to keep in touch with anybody who is interested in the Rout genealogy. Again, may apologies.

My ancestor was born about 1800 and came to Maryland, USA around 1820 from England - Essex? His mother was Sarah Eve and we think his father was William Rout.

Anyone out there researching this Rout family?

Hi ,
My self and my father have recently started to research our family tree. i have so far managed to go back as far as 1771.
I have found Job rout (1825) who had 9 children. Job Edmund(1851) , Sarah jane(1853) , Jemima elizabeth (1856) , Charles allsop (1856) , Mary ann (1859) , William (1861) , Abner (1863) , samuel (1865) , francis (1873).
All dates are christening dates.
I have found Jobs brother Edmund and his children are Frederick john , emily , margaret , kate , edmund and herbert.
I could not find a charles so maybe they were cousins and not brothers?.
I do have more information if you would like i can send what i have. Im sure this is the right line. I would also love to know what you have found out so far.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
Lisa & James.
