I have just a little information. My great-grandfather, patrick Farrelly (Farley) came to the states from Co. Cavan, Ireland in 1858. One of his brothers - Thomas or Andrew came also to New Haven CT. There is a daughter or granddaughter of one of those brothers who married a Seery and lived in Boston. Her name is Marguerite (or Margaret?) Farley Seery. She wrote to my grandfather, George Farley, when his sister, Mary Farley Gallager died in New Haven in 1945.

Maureen, I am looking for information on my great grandfather. His name was William. His father's name was John. I don't know if there is a connection. My ggrandfather had a brother Michael. They were born in NY, but were raised by a foster family in NJ.
Maybe we can share dates. My ggrandfather was born in 1890.

These Seery's sure are hard to track!!!

Where was James Seery born and what year. I had a grand-uncle James Seery who I am trying to trace. He was born in Ireland in 1888. Went to Philadelphia in 1909. He was in Philadelphia for the 1920 census. Thats as far as I have got.
