Hi

Just wondering if any out there has ever looked up the Shaw Family genology from the Nothingham England area. My father grandfather, Earl Benjamin Shaw and his sister Sarah came over to Canada from that area at the beginning of the century. Another sister married a "Bell" from the Manchester area. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dick

I have a data base on the descendants of 2
brothers, Archibald and Robert Shaw, who came
to the US in 1800 and settled in Clearfield Co.
Archibald's son, Richard, is my gggrandfather.
Some of Roberts descendants moved toward
Altoona I believe. See also on this Message
board # 167 Shaw family in Co Derry and the
responses to that message.
I hope you will contact me at

I noticed your posting regarding Ben Shaw. I was interested in any information you may have of Ben's parents and family in the Mondamin, Iowa area. My ggrandfather was a George T. Shaw and he was from that area also, but that is the extent of what I have been able to uncover about him. I am hoping your Shaw's are connected somehow.

Hi,

Bit of a long shot but my grandfather - Ronald Wesley Shaw was born and lived in Nottingham for years (I live there now).

I think his father was George Shaw married to Ada Thompson. George's dad I think was James Shaw. He also had a brother - Roy Shaw.

Does any of this help ?

Get in touch if you want - julian.buck1@btinternet.com

Cheers,

Julian.

I have a Henry Shaw born in Pennsylvania 1793 died in Indiana 1872.....married Maragaret Williams. An information predating his marriage would be greatly appreciated. This is the road block in my tree. No idea of parents or siblings.
