Hello,
Rebecca Grubb might be a descendant of Archibald Grubb and Elizabeth Wyrick who moved to Lee Co. Virginia from Wythe Co. Virginia between 1836 and 1840. They had at least nine children. I have lots of information on this family if you are interested. Archibald was my fourth great grandfather. His son Lorenzo Grubb married Sarah Jane Baldwin in Lee Co. I'll be happy to share what I have. Carolyn Allen

Hello,
Did your Wyrick family live in Lee Co. Virginia? My Wyrick genealogy goes like this:
5th great grandparents:
Nicholas Weirich b. Dec. 21, 1723 Pfellenboch Germany
m. Anna Barbara Litchmier
4th great grandparents:
Martin Wyrick b. Germany m. Anna Marie Elizabeth Hounshell
3rd great grandparents:
Martin Wyrick,jr. b. 1784 m. Barbara Myers d. Lee Co. Va.
2nd great grandparents:
Elizabeth Wyrick b. Aug. 17, 1809 Wytheville Va. d. about 1844 Lee Co. Va.m. Archibald Grubb April 11, 1830 Wythe Co. Va.
Hope this helps you and I would like to know your family tree. The Wyrick name is fairly unusual in Germany. I can't find anyone there who is familiar with it. I think maybe it originally came from someplace else or perhaps we are not pronouncing it correctly.

Hi Lori,I have concentrated most of my research on Elizabeth Wyrick who married my 4xgreat grandfather, John Grubb. Most of what I have on the Wyricks came from church records in Wythe County Va., LDS IGI, and court records from Lee Co. Va..I also got some information from the census records. I finally figured out that in the records Wyrick was often spelled Warrick. That was a big help to me. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. Carolyn
