Casey family of Prince Edward County and Casey family of Adolphustown

Surnames: Casey, Dainard
Anyone know if these two families are related and if so, how?

Adolphustown
Willet Casey b: 14 FEB 1762 d: 10 MAR 1848
married
Jane Niles b: 16 MAY 1763 d: 12 FEB 1856

-----------

Prince Edward County
So many names from the Willet Casey - Adolphustown - family are repeated in the Casey families in PECounty (Picton/Cherry Valley)

Willet and Jane Casey's (above) daughter Martha (Patty) CASEY b: Abt 1787 d: 1874
married Gilbert DORLAND b: 9 MAR 1776 d: 27 MAR 1837

Dorland is also a name that's used with the Casey families from Prince Edward County...

I know that Willet and his brother William went from Adolphustown to Picton/Glenora (Lake on the Mountain) and set up an iron foundry and a wool mill...but I can't find the link that takes them or their descendants right into Cherry Valley where the other Casey's and Dainard's were/are.

I hope that's not too confusing and that someone can help me out.

Thank you

Velda

Hope that you are still checking these posts.
I am interested to discuss the Casey/Dorland/Dainard connection. I have Caseys in my Kearney family and am curious about a possible Dainard connection.

Hi Susan. I have found loads of information since that post many years ago.I would be happy to share my tree with you. These are my in-laws, mother in law's side. The tree invite will come us Arsenault/Adair family tree. Take what you need.

If your tree is private, I'd like access too so we can compare notes.

Hi Velda,
I must apologise to you. You very kindly sent this message and invitation to me and I think that I did not reply.
Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness. I see that you have tombstone pictures and I am pleased to add these to my family tree.
Since our conversation, I have located baptismal information for my GGF, Samuel Peterson, showing that RJ and Jacob Peterson were his parents. Very exciting. But no marriage data...yet.
Did I invite you to my tree? Happy to do so.
Also - have you done any DNA research? Or do you know if any other Dainard relatives have done this?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Susan

Hi Susan, I have not done any DNA research. I will take a look at your new info. I continue to research all my family lines (and in law's lines in Casey ). Thank you for the new information.
