I have a copy of the QSA medal list for the royal navy and royal marines. the ships included in this list are HMS Barracouta,HMS Barrosa,HMS Blanche,HMS Beagle,HMS Doris,HMS Dwarf, HMS Fearless,HMS Forte, HMS Gibraltar,HMS Magpie,HMS Magicienne, HMS Monarch with Penelope, HMS Naiad,HMS Partridge,HMS Pelorus,HMS Philomel,HMS Pearl,HMS Powerful,HMS Racoon,HMS Rambler,HMS Rattler,HMS Redbreast,HMS Sappho,HMS Sybille, HMS Tatar,HMS Terrible,HMS Terpsichore,HMS Thetis,HMS Thrush,HMS Widgeon,RIMS Canning,RMIS Clive. Hi Lesley, I believe that my great-grandfather was a Chief Petty Officer on the HMS Racoon. If you have any information where his name appears I would be extremely appreciative if you would let me know. His name was William Tagget (or Taggett)

Could you lookup my ggrandfather who served on HMS Philomel from 31/01/1908 to 25/07/1909, his service number was 204767.

My grandfather, Harry Evans (Harold James Evans) served on HMS Doris as a seaman heliographer and was at the relief of Kimberley. He later transferred to HMS Thrush.

the list is for the boer war which ended in 1902 so sorry i cannot help you with your query as i do not have the info

I have my Great grandad's QSA medal. He served on HMS Barracouta as a Sub/Lt during the Boar War.

Surnames: Allenby, Sherwood, Bowes, Parker , Robson
I have a relative Joseph E Allenby b.1868 who was on board HMS Rambler in September 1895 on North America and West Indies Service at 'Halifax N.S. Canada' can you offer any information please
