We lived across from St. Ann's Orphanage. I'm sorry I don't know any further information on it at the present.

I'm so sorry, but I hit a brick wall, Tammy. I searched, even asked my family in St. Louis. After my sister remembered where St. Ann's Orphanage was, a search showed it doesn't exist there anymore. Good luck and I'm sorry I couldn't help further.

I believe the records of St. Ann's may be with the Salvation Army or Catholic Charities

Tammy,
There was a Methodist Orphanage in St. Louis in the 1920's but I have no other information on it.

The person looking for orphanages,Can try
any local ones to find out what happens to the records. Also try St Louis county. I know
of some there because my dad was in one.
Also try "St.Ann" It is in that county.

Missouri Baptist Children's Home was on St. Charles Rock Road in or near St. Ann.
There was a St. Vincent de Paul Home. I believe that it was on Florissant Road in Normandy (north St. Louis County).
Also, there was an orphanage in Fenton MO that was connected to St. John Nepomuk parish in the Soulard neighborhood in south St. Louis. That orphanage is closed. It stood on the property where St. Paul's parish in Fenton stands today.
Hope this helps!!
