Betty,
The North Carolina 1800 census lists two Abner
Duncan's, both in Person Co. NC, on pages 209
and 218. They are not listed on the 1810 census.
However, on the 1820 census, an Andrew Duncan
is listed in Lincoln Co. NC, p.360, 2001000-00010.
Do not know if these are the persons you are
researching or not.

Good Luck

Abner and Sarah Hatley Duncan also had a son named Benjamin F. Duncan, who was married to Rebecca Bedwell in Grayson County, VA. They were my great grandparents. My grandfather, Christian France Duncan, was one of their children. Do you have any information further back than Abner. I have reached a stone wall and cannot connect any further as to who Abner's parents were. I would appreciate any information you could give. My e-maill address is vls@optidynamic.com
Thank yo in advance.
