Do your LAWLESS have any connection to Kingston Ontario Canada?
Researching LEES LAWLESS JARVIS TIGHE
I haven't found one, but there is a possibility because of the closeness of the locations.
Looking for anyone searching Michael LAWLESS and his family in Kingston, Ulster County, New York. I have done a large amount of research on this family believing he was my relation. Michael married Catherine and had three sons that I know of. Their names were William, Michael, and John.
At this time it is believed that Catherine may have been married before to someone with the surname of DELANEY as the 1880 census list Elizabeth [(DELANEY)] BAKER as the daughter of Michael LAWLESS. After years of research this proved to be incorrect. However, other records indicate that Catherine may have been the mother of Elizabeth with them coming into New York before the marriage of Michael and Catherine. documents located have Catherine's name spelt with a "K" or "C"
Thanks for any help.
I wonder if you still have an account?!
I am descended from a Michael Lawless (son of Michael and Catherine) born dec 1859 m. Mary Broderick. had children John, michael, (these first two may have died cuz the only children i know of are:) Catherine (kitty), Nora marie, Geraldine (my line) and later William. info from a cencus dated 1900.
The above are definitely my family, but are they also yours? This is cool but I'm afraid im of no help. I'm just learning of Michael and Catherine now from 1865 census.
