"record" on ancestry just a source...how to find more details?

Trying to find details on my ancestors voyage to the states from Germany. I have found the "record" on ancestry...which just references a book where the information is found. I haven't been able to find that book to view. Is there anyone that could help me find more details or where to look for more information?

Here are the details found on the ancestry record (that I can't seem to link to as it keeps giving me an error! sorry!):

Ancestry's indexing is incorrect... if you have an active account with Ancestry, please submit a name correction. Otherwise, I will do it for you.

Very interesting find! Hmmm...now how to find enough documentation to prove that is him or not? And interesting from France as all the info we have says he came from Germany...of course France could have just been the port. That document is really hard to read. Hmmmm. Do what are you thinking? (and thanks for your help!)

Interesting! When I'm on my computer, not my phone, I'm going to have to look much closer at this. Here is a link to my ancestors history as recorded in a book about his town written long ago.

If that link doesn't work let me know!
