I do find one George Shaw in our family line, born 30 april 1840. He was the 13th child of John Shaw, b 7 dec 1796 at cotingham, York County, England, and Ann Rogers(on), born 6 Oct 1799 at sutton, York County, England. John and Ann were married 25 Nov 1818 in England. I think they migrated to St. andrews, Canada between 1827 and 1831. I am descended from their fifth child, William. If you would like the names of all 13 children, please let me know. I know nothing about what happened to the other children.
Sincerely, Ruth

You have a George and I am trying to find a George who had a brother Gilbert both born about 1830 to 1835 in Nova Scotia. Do you know if your George came from Nova Scotia.

Hi Chad: My dad's name was Gordon Shaw from Prince Edward Island and he and my mom were married at the O'Leary Baptist Church in O'Leary, PEI. Maybe a connection, not sure. Darlene

Hi Chad and Darlene:
My father is Gordon Alexander Shaw from Memramcook, N.B.
His father Murray Witmer Shaw came from Petrolia, Ontario in late 1800's. Any connection?

Looking at your posted msg got me thinking of something my Great Aunt Frances said. She always believed that our line of Shaw s came to New Brunswick from Ontario, so there might be a connection. I am aware that George Shaw appeared in the 1851 cences of York County, New Brunswick. If you have any information that might help it would be greatly appreciated.

I have been posted overseas with the Canadian Forces tasked to NATO in the Netherlands so my previous e-mail adress is no longer valid.
