I am researching the family of Charles Thompson and Estelle Hebert. Chalres was born in approximately 1824 and Estelle in approximately 1830. According the the records of St. John the Baptist Catholic church in West Baton Rouge Parish, Charles' father was Geolais Thompson and his mother was Cera Green. I have been unable to find any information on either of these names. I do have quite a bit of information on Estelle's family. Please contact me if you can help on my Thompson line.

Hi, well we are looking for the same two people that seemed to drop off the face of the earth. My father was Alvin J. Thompson, His parents were Ella Griffon(Hebert)and Albert Oliver Thompson, Ella married Lea Hebert after my grandfather passed away...My father is a direct descendant of Giolois Thompson and Cera Green. What information I have on both of the grandparents is what I have posted and researched now for over a month to no end. You are welcome to contact me and maybe we can put our heads together...I would love to know what connection you have also with the family...heavens we might be relations and don't even know it...

Hi Carollea,

I have hit a dead end looking for my Thompson side of the family. Your grandfather, Albert Oliver, was brother to my grandfather, John Marshall. I found Geolais (Giolois) and Cera listed as Charles' parents when he got married, but I can't find anything else out about them. John Marshall was married in Louisiana to Alice Booth and had a daughter, Pearl, before he married my grandmother Annie E. Moye. He moved to Texas at some point (I assume his first wife died) and married my grandmother in 1899. His daughter, Pearl, lived with the Holcombe family in Robertson County, Texas and was listed on one of the censuses as their "adopted" daughter. I have no idea why she didn't live with her father. I would love to correspond with you and compare notes. I live in Austin Texas. Are you still in the Louisiana area?

Responding to email. I have begun a search on the Thompson family tree and have added quite a bit to it. My husband is Michael Olan Thompson, father was Walter Leon Thompson, Sr., mother was Annie Moye and father John Thompson. I have it all listed under Thompson Family Tree. Please get back to me.

Ree, I would love to hear from you. I had lost track of my two cousins by Uncle Walter. I last saw them at Uncle Walter's funeral. I am now living in Austin and have really not been able to go back very far on the Thompson side. I went to Louisiana in February and found some information on where some of the Heberts and Thompsons were buried, but no gravestones are there. I also hit a dead end on any information on John Marshall. I went to Liberty and narrowed down where he is probably buried, but there is no headstone or information on how he died. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
