I am indirectly related to some in the Grissett line and would be happy to exchange any information. May be awhile before I am available to do so, though (mid-Jan?).

Surnames: Neal, Neale
I've done some research on the Neale family. I've reseaarched a tract of land at the confluence of Livingston Creek and the NW Cape Fear in what used to be Beaufort County, but now is Columbus County. I'm assuming we mean the same family since you mentioned the name Scull. There was a Scull family cemetery close by. I would be interested in exchanging information about the family particularly for the Colonial period. All the research I've done has been between about 1730 and 1800.

I noted on your entry under Brunswick Co. that you researched some land on Livingston Creek. An ancestor of mine, Cain or Elkanah Allen, had 329 acres along that creek. His brother, Drury was my direct ancestor and we are searching for data on either of them or their progeny. Did you happen to have come across either of these two names? Drury mentioned a close friend, John Gambier Scull in his will of 1797. Thanks.
