William J. Pickell, 73, years, of 1028 Harding St., Ottumwa, Iowa, a lifetime resident of Ottumwa, died Wednesday, May 25, 1977, at his home.

He was a retired employee of John Morrell & Co.

Mr Pickrell was born Sept. 20, 1903; at Ottumwa, the Son of Ellis and Addie Pangburn Pickrell.

On July 1, 1925, he was married to Hazel I. Currier, at Ottumwa and she preceded him in death, May 7, 1964.

Surviving are: one Son, William J. Pickrell Jr., Plattsmouth, Nebraska; three Daughters, Elaine Epperson and Gertrude Pickrell, both of Waterloo, Iowa; Edna Dunning, Ottumwa, several Nieces and Nephews, including Lew Werle of Rockford, Illinois, who was reared in the family home. Sixteen Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren; four brothers, Virgil Pickrell, Floris, Iowa; Earl Pickrell, Ottumwa; Chesley Pickrell, Southgate, California; Dave Pickrell in Alaska; four Sisters, Dorothy Cook, Stockton, California; Faith Picher, Lodi, California; Estelle Cook, Hanford, California; Leona Plunkett, Bellflower, California.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Services: 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 27, 1977, at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, Ottumw, Iowa.

Clergy: Rev. George Koch, Fairfield Free Methodist Church of Fairfield, Iowa.

Organist: Bertha Wisdom

Bearers: Kevin Werle, Clay Pickrell, Roger Reck,

Gilbert Taylor, Mike Mason and David Dunning.

Interment: Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, Iowa.

I am from Ottumwa. You have the wrong Pickrell family here. You are referring to the Pickerell's. I am a Pickrell, and I know these people listed in the Obit.
