I am not sure as I have only gotten back too 1803; TAMZIN PROUT, The IGI list no parents but a Relative: Lorenzo L. Hatch.
It seems that we have come to a dead end so far were Tamzin is concered. She married Richard SMALE and they came to Canada in 1834-1835; we don't know if they married in Eng. or ??; Richard was from the Stonehenge area but I see there a lot of PROUT's in that area also, so it is only guess work so far. I do have someone that will be going to Eng. and will be checking the records for Tamzin Prout.don't know about siblings either.if I come on to anything I will post it for you. Good Searching.

Mr grandfather George Prout is listed as an original land owner on St. Joseph Island, Ont. Canada. Also found in census of 1881
where it states that his parents, Richard and A. M. Prout came from Cornwall England. I found this on the history page of the St. Joseph Island site. Hope this helps.

I would be interested in birth-death dates of the Prouts of St. Joseph's Island, and anything connecting them to other Prouts in Ontario. Thank you. AE Richards

I have a Richard Prout, age 23, of Clarke Township, Ont., married to Rachel HOFFMAN or HUFFMAN, 30, also of Clarke, in 1864. Do you think this could be Richard of Glen Williams and his first wife? Alan (alanr@netrover.com)
