Hi!
I am a descendent of Johann Ruhl(Riehl) and Margareta Schleunes of Wallau,Germany. They had one son-Johann who married Katherine Kasten from Kloppenheim.
Are those towns near where you lived in Germany?
Is there a chance we are related?

Do you know of a Frederic W. Riehl b. 1/Oct/1830 in Frankfort, Germany? His father was Frederic also b. circa 1805

Hello Heinz,
There are a lot of us Reihls in America. Mine came from near Strassborg in the Alsace region. We find it spelled Reihl and Riehl. They originally settled in Paterson, NJ.in August 1853. Johann Reihl b.June 4, 1821 and Dorothea Gassner Reihl b. 1830. Good luck in your search. Iva Reihl
