Looking for some help in to these people from Leesburg, Loudon County, Virginia area:

Abigail Thomas married John R. Anderson on 04 Jan1821, in Leesburg, Loudon County, Virginia. Abigail (some times going by Abby, Widow Anderson after her husband died) was the daughter of a Nancy Thomas.

John and Abigail were married by “Thomas Brinkley, a minister of the Gospel.

Some time after John's R Anderson’s death, Abigail moved from Loudon County, Virginia to Knox County, Ohio (about 1834) with two children:
1) Adaline Martha Anderson, born 05Oct1821, Married Mr. Black in Iowa
2) John Thomas R. Anderson, born 25May1823, in Loudon County. Died 10Aug1879. Married Nancy Johnson
3) Samuel Taylor Anderson, born 27Oct1824. (I believe that he died before his father, so some time before May 1826)

From there she moved the family to Cedar County, Iowa in 1850, and remained till her death.

John R Anderson". Who enlisted in the Army during the War of 1812, and served from 15 Sep 1812 - 15 Sep 1817. On his discharge papers, it is listed that he was born in Greene, Greene County, Tenn. (no year listed).
He enlisted at Maysville, Tenn., and first served in Capt. Hopkins Co U.S. Dragoons till 17 July 1815 when he transferred to Capt. Crane of the Arty

John R. Anderson died in Jefferson County Virginia (I believe this is now in West Virginia) “8th day of May 1836 about six miles from Charles Town”

The marriage was by Thomas Birkby (Methodist Episcopal.) From Genius of Liberty newspaper:

Vol. V, No. 1 – January 16, 1821
Married January 4 by Thomas Birkby, John R. Anderson and Abby Thomas, both of Loudoun.
