On Monday, April 29, 2002 at Brockville General Hospital. Daughters Joan & Ruth were present. Clara Irene (Sheets) Donnelly, beloved wife of the late Joseph Edwin (Ed) Lyle Donnelly (1909-1967) left to be reunited with her Savior, Jesus. Clara was born an identical twin to Carrie (Sheets) Kelly, born in Farran’s Point, Ontario to Esther (Heath) & Easton Sheets. Clara will be remembered by those closest to her as a gentle, tender soul with a generous heart that had a deep love for music and greatly cherished her family.
Survived by her children, Cyril William (Sylvia) & Ruth Ann Saunders (Herb )of Mallorytown, Ontario, Merle Edwin (Margaret) & Brenda Kelly (Dwayne) of Brockville, Ontario, Margaret Esther of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Joan May Ellis (Don) of Brockville & Barbara Irene Clemenhagen (Richard) of Portland, Ontario. Survived by 20 Grandchildren: Brian, Cathy, Gregory, Mitchel, Darrell, Randy, Deborah, Ronald & Robert (twins), Jerry, Dale, Steven, Richard, Joan Patricia, James, Tammy, Christopher, Tracy, Rhonda and Lane.
32 Great-Grandchildren: Sabrina, Christina, Devon, Paul, Gregory, Steven, Kevin, Ryan, Chelsea, Marc, Jennifer Kylie , Megan, Celene, Eric, Beckey, Alex, Brandon , Hanna, Trisha, Melissa, Merle, Samantha, Morgan, Rachal, James, Tanton, Sara, Jessica, William, Samuel Quinn, and Tamara Kathleen.
19 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Josh, Ashley, Taylor, Talia, Nick, Marissa, Darcy, Brittany, Daniel, Sydney, Anthony, Jade, Nathan, Davis, Emma, Andrea Amanda, Tristan Ryder, Molly and Alissa.
2 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren: Zoe & Ethan Matthew.
Predeceased by loving Parents Esther (Heath) & Easton Sheets, Dear Daughter Beatrice Nellie (Piche) Ellis (William Donald), twin Sister Carrie Kelly (Bill) of Morrisburg, Sisters, Lizzie from Gouverneur, NY, Lottie (Sawyer) Burdick (Frank) of NY, Sister Ethel Binion of NY, Nellie of NY ,cherished Brother Harry, deeply loved Grandson Shawn Jamie MacMaster of Eagle Lake, Alberta (Oct. 24-Apr. 24, 1999), and son-in-laws Carmel Piche of Brockville, Ontario and Stanley Renwick of Brinston, Ontario. Family and friends may pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel at 4 James St. East, Brockville, Ontario on Wednesday, May 1 from 2-4 & 7-9. In celebration of Clara’s life, a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on her birthday, May 2nd at 1 o’clock with Rev. David Jones leading the worship service. Words of fond remembrance will be offered by Clara’s Daughter Joan & Grandson, Lane . Pallbearers: Grandsons, Steven & Richard Renwick, Christopher Hanes, Gregory and Dale Donnelly and Lane Kelly. Interment to follow at St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery East of Ingleside, Ontario. Grandson-in-law, guitarist & soloist, Tim Ryan will perform Amazing Grace, one of Clara’s favorite hymns.

Funeral: Barclay Funeral Home on Monday April 9, 2012 at 5 p.m.
Tribute: Peacefully, with his family by his side at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Tuesday April 2, 2012. Cyril William Donnelly of R.R. #4 Mallorytown age 77 years. Cyril was born in Farran's Point, Ontario in Stormont County in May 1934. In his early years, he sailed the Great Lakes on the Brita Melene Ship and also served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Later on, he was employed by Selkirk Chimney in Brockville up until his retirement. Cyril is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Herbison) Donnelly, his 5 children: (with his first wife)...Brian (Betty), of Simcoe, Ontario, & Cathy of Hamilton,(with his second wife)...Greg (Terry), Mitchell of Mallorytown and Darrell (Dianne) of Prescott, 10 grandchildren: Sabrina, Christina, Paul, Gregory, Steven, Kevin, Ryan, Chelsea, Marc, Jennifer and 12 great-grandchildren: Talia, Nick, Brittany, Daniel, Sydney, Anthony, Jade, Nathan, Davis, Emma, Molly and Alissa. Cyril is also survived by siblings: Margaret of Manitoba, Merle (Carole), & Brenda (Dwayne) of Brockville, Ruth (Herb), of Mallorytown, Joan, of Alberta & Barb (Richard) of Rideau... Cyril is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents Edwin and Clara (Sheets) Donnelly. A sister Beatrice, sister-in-law, Margaret & 3 brother-in-laws: Stanley Renwick, Carmel Piche & William D. Ellis.

Beatrice (Bea) entered into rest at her residence at RR # 4 Brockville, Ontario. Beatrice Nellie (Donnelly) (Piche) Ellis was born in Farran’s Point, Ontario to Clara Irene (Sheets) & Joseph Edwin (Ed) Lyle Donnelly. Beatrice was employed by Black and Decker in Brockville until she took an early retirement. She will be remembered for her devotion to her first husband Carmel Gerald Piche (Nov. 19 1939-Jan. 9 1980) who died after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor, (Bea & Carmel married in 1976) ,her sincere love of children, deep concern for her mother and her unique sense of humor. Predeceased by her gentle, loving husband, Carmel Gerald Piche, son of Emile and Yvonne (Constantineau) Piche from La Conception, Quebec., her Grandparents: Joseph & Margaret (McClelland) Donnelly, Grandparents: Easton & Esther (Heath) Sheets, her dear Father, Joseph Edwin Lyle Donnelly( 1909- 1967), a nephew, Shawn Jamie MacMaster (1967-1999) of Eagle Lake, Alberta and brother-in-law, Stanley Renwick of Brinston, Ontario. Bea is survived by her second husband, William Donald Ellis of Brockville, Ontario, her Mother, Clara Irene (Sheets) Donnelly, sister Ruth Ann (Donnelly) (Renwick) Saunders (Herbie) & brother Cyril William Donnelly (Sylvia) of Mallorytown, brother Merle Edwin Donnelly (Margaret) & sister Brenda Patricia (Donnelly) Kelly (Dwayne) of Brockville, Ontario, sister Margaret Esther Donnelly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, sister Barbara Irene (Donnelly) (Hanes) Clemenhagen (Richard)of Portland, Ontario, and sister Joan of Strathmore, Alberta as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins. A family service held at the Irvine Funeral Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Ontario on April 7. Interment will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a later date.

Lena Jane (Donnelly) Solomon was born in Farran’s Point, Ontario in the County of Stormont in 1912. She was the youngest daughter of Joseph Archie Donnelly and Margaret (Maggie) Elizabeth McClelland. Lena dedicated her life to being a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother. Lena moved to the USA to live with her sister, Myrtle where she met and married Daniel Solomon and they settled in Syracuse, NY. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Solomon)? and Barbara (Solomon) Fascis of Syracuse, 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Danny in 1995, son Bill in 2000, sisters, Myrtle (Donnelly) McConnell of NY, Lillie (Donnelly) Weagant of Belleville, Ontario, Hilary Beatrice (Donnelly) Donahue of NY, brothers Allan, Zene & Joseph Edwin Lyle Donnelly all of Ingleside, Ontario. Funeral Services held Thursday at 10 am at Sears-Middleton-Jones Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. (Route 11), North Syracuse. Interment will be Thursday in North Syracuse Cemetery.

DONNELLY, Joseph Edwin (Ed) Lyle (14 Feb 1909 Farran’s Point, Ontario-1967 Kingston General Hospital) age 58 (leukemia)
Born 14 Feb 1909 to Joseph & Margaret Elizabeth (McClelland) Donnelly in Farran’s Point, Ontario (flooded 1958). Although he was named after his father, everyone called him Ed or Edwin. At an early age Edwin taught himself to play the harmonica and he entertained people at parties as well as in his home. He was often asked to be the caller at Square-dances much to his delight. When he wasn’t on the floor dancing he was on the stage singing and playing his mouth organ as he called it. Edwin worked for Canadian National Railroad as a Section Man and later was promoted to Section Foreman.
Before 1958 he helped many men in Farran’s Point and the surrounding area with well digging, house repairs and renovations. Ed was the townsfolk watch repair man and barber.
