Your message is in the United States General board.

Did any of them immigrate to the United States?

hi
yes timothy fitzgearld came over to ireland sometime after 1901, i did find a timothy fitzgearld on the 1920 us census that maybe the man im looking for, but i have put the request on the general board so that it reaches more people

the dawsons & tobins, some of the family emigrated i think to the boston area, but again ive no concrete proof, that is why i gave details of the relates on the irish side.

One method you could try: Find the obituaries of as many ancestors/relatives you can in Ireland. Those might list the names and locations of survivors in the US.

I'm not very familiar with UK newspapers, but I did find a couple of sites:

http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/

http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk

I don't have access to the Irish newspapers at ancestry.com. You could try another message at the Ireland board:
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.britisles.ireland/mb.a...

You could also try posting at the Newspapers in Ireland board to find out what's available online:
http://boards.ancestry.com/topics.news.ireland/mb.ashx

Given their common names, however, you'll need to find specific info on where and when they passed away in order to get meaningful results.
