Here are a few more addresses and phone numbers which might help you. I found them in the whowhere.com yellow pages under churches. You might find additional Russian Orthodox Church listings on AnyWho.com, Switchboard.com, BigYellow.com, etc.

Some of the Bridgeport orthodox churches have switched affiliations thru the years and may have come under the Russian Church outside Russia or the Orthodox Church of America...what was once called one thing in 1900 may be still there now...call the church and ask they may know if the church is gone now....remember some of the bridgeport churches moved through the years too good luck

I looked at my previous message and noticed the address and phone number for the Russian CHurch on East Main St.
If you can, I would appreciate the address and phone number for the Polish CHurch, I believe the name is St. Michael's.
Thank you.,

Sonia,
The Russian Orthodox Church on Hallett Street was Holy Ghost. The church is now located on East Main Street.

It's a parish of the Orthodox Church in America.

Have you found any information about the Russian Orthodox church on Hallet St., Bridgeport that you were looking for. Was it St. John the Baptist located on Artic St. between Pembroke and Hallet Streets? I am trying to find if it still exists and where I can write for church records.
