hi there, my mom emigrated from Portsmouth England on Sept , 1947 she landed in Halifax on Pier 21 in Oct. of 1947 her maiden name was Ingolotti, Dorothy. she got some autographs of the crew, Lou Harding, he was a Tourist, something, Steward in the Catering Dept. mom said he was very nice, all the crew were nice to her. and she enjoyed her trip very much, except for the sea sickness. mom is 88 yrs old and when i told her i was going to do a family history she gave me all these bits of paper and documents on the Aquitainia, she was in section C 37 Birth 172 she remembers a very nice lady in the room with her but cant remember her name, i believe my mom said she had a small child with her i will double check on this and update this post when i do .. would love to know if any of you or your family maybe sailed with my mom. thank you

Hello to your mom.

Actually she sailed from Southampton on 1st October 1947.

Here name was incorrectly listed on the passenger manifest as Dorothy B. Ingolott instead of Dorothy E. Ingolotti.

Many of the other passengers were war brides.
