I am seeking information about Lemuel JAMES, son of John JAMES and Elizabeth DEARMORE WILLIAMS JAMES of Princess Anne Co. Lemuel was born about 1720 and his father died at about the same time. Elizabeth DEARMORE, daughter of Robert DEARMORE Sr, was married first to Thomas WILLIAMS, second to John JAMES, and third to John BRINSON. I am especially interested in finding out what happened to Lemuel JAMES after 1737 when he petitioned the court for his share of the estate of his grandfather, Robert Dearmore Sr. I would also be interested in any information about his father, John James.

I'm sorry that I do not have any info on the subject you are looking for, but can you shed any light on the John Brinson you mentioned? The one that I have was born abt 1660, Norfolk, Va., d abt 1737, Princess Anne County, Va., m abt 1683 to Elizabeth (last name unknown, but I do not think it was Capps). Elizabeth was b bef 1660, d abt 1738, Princess Anne County. Child: Henry Brinson, b abt 1696, Princess Anne County, d abt 1753, Princess Anne County; m abt 1726, Princess Anne County to Mary Whitehurst.
Appreciate any assistance.

I don't have much information about the John BRINSON who married Elizabeth DEARMORE of Princess Anne Co. She married him sometime after April 6,1720, when she was Elizabeth James, widow. According to Court Order book 1717/1728, pg. 327, Elizabeth BRINSON was already a widow by January 3, 1721. John Brinson was deceased and had died intestate. I know that this is Elizabeth DEARMORE because at the same time, she asked for an audit of her administration of the estates of her previous husbands Thomas WILLIAMS and John JAMES. I hope this is of some help.

Hello. My direct line goes to Henry James, first son of Lemuel. I'd be interested in knowing more about John James's wife's line, the Dearmores. And, if you can tell me anything about Lemuel, Henry, Reuben...other than their names.....I'd appreciate it.
