People named Horgan are cordially invited to join the O'Hourihane DNA projects. This will be my only announcement on this board.
Historically, the Horgans have been big in Cork and Kerry. Some historians give a compelling reason to believe that Horgan was the orginal surname of some of the Hourihanes in Cork.
The project home is at:

http://tinyurl.com/HourihaneDNAProjectI am looking for people of Irish descent named some variation of Horan, Horgan, Horrigan, Hanrahan, Hourihan, and even Howard to join the project. Due to a number of factors, there is a possibility that these surnames have historically been confused with each other.
The project is looking for Y-DNA test participants and also autosomal DNA test participants. The project contains a background; goals; a surname distribution map and other items of interest. The project aims to bring DNA clarity to these surnames.
