1940 census/city of Chicago directory/phone book

The NARA is planning to release the 1940 census. I understand there will be no index by name at first for searching. I have three address from the 1930 census and will look at those locations, but feel my grandparents may have moved by 1940. One Grand Mother died in 1940 and have an address from her obituary that I will check. My Father married in 1936 but have no address for my parents. If anyone has a city directory or phone book that might list there address it would be great help to me. List of name are.

Any help in finding these address would be great help in finding the ED on the 1940 Census.

Thank You

Of particular interest and value is a complete collection of Chicago city and telephone directories. The city directories (for 1839 to 1917, 1923 and 1928/9) are available in hardcopy in the Research Center or on microfilm. Also available are the Chicago "crisscross" directories (on microfilm) for 1928, 1950, 1952, 1953, and 1978 to the present, and suburban telephone directories for 1920 to 1971, and 1978 to the present. The volumes of the Chicago Blue Book for 1890 to 1916 serve as directories of the more prominent citizens of the city.

Yes Steve Morse's search is good and can cross walk from the 1930 census to 1940 districts and coding schemas.
