Last year on this message board, I came so close to finding a brother that I have not seen since I was a baby....and then there has been no response thereafter! Does any one have any information on Boyd, Gladys, Allen, or Gerard Eidson of the Klamath Falls Oregon Area? There was a twin brother to Allen...and I know that he had children! Gerard now goes by the last name of Honeycutt. I would love to hear from anyone with any information! You can e-mail me at
marlin@mtaonline.com.....Thank You!

Sharon, You are trying to find a brother. All I know is that my grandparents moved from Colorado to southern Oregon in 1913. My grandfather Otto and his father-in-law Robert Ruthven went to Roseburg in the winter of 1913. There are more Eidson's in Eugene and if you would like any more information , please feel free the e-mail me at jcmc@uswest.net. Good luck finding your brother. Maryclare Eidson

The Eidson's from Ireland

Originally the Eidsons lived in England then moved to Ireland in the 1600's. Our first Eidson ancestor to come from Ireland was Edward Eidson born in 1680. He immigrated to America around 1720 and settled in Richmand County, Virginia where the next three generations of Eidsons remained. Gross Squire Eidson was born at Bedford County, Virginia in 1786. After his marriage to Jane "Jensy" Piles in 1809 he moved to North Caroline where William Madden Eidson was born. (My Grandfather's, grandfather). William moved west to Barry Pike, Illinois with his wife Catherine Daughterty. Their son Samuel Eidson was born in 1850 (my great-grandfather).
If anyone has any information, please let me know.
Thanks, Maryclare Eidson

Ronnie,
Thanks for responsing, I haven't had a chance to check my e-mail since last week some time. The heat wave finally broke at least for a day and it's cool and rainy tonight, and my daughter is not at home tonight. Please tell me about Samuel Eidson? Where did he live and what year was he born in, etc. Oh by the why where do you live? I just got a call so I have to go , but please keep in touch with me.
Thanks again,
Maryclare

Hello, I'm trying to trace my Eidson family and connect it to the family you mentioned. I am descended from a Jane Eidson born about 1825 in Ohio, and I know her father was from Virginia. I have plenty of info on Jane, but very little to go on for her parents. Any help or advice on connecting these families would be appreciated. Thanks for your time,
Adam

Dennis and Hannah Eidson were from Leeds, England, and were in Dublin Ireland long enough for ONE son, Edward, to be born. They came from England, all their other children were born in England, and they died (except Edward) in England. Edward almost certainly immigrated from England. In short - the Eidson’s are NOT from Ireland.
