I have Hattie Fadden, born about 1871 in New York, daughter of Alanson (Alonzo) Fadden and Mary Louisa LeClair in my files. I do not have the name of her spouse but it is possibly a match to your Hattie. What do you think?

Thanks for your reply.I have a photo of my GGgrandmothers headstone in New Jersey with the date of birth being Sept.15 1868 and she died on Jan.22 1930.I will still keep your information in mind as dates of birth might always be wrong. Good searching for the future.

My aunt married Clark Gibson. Clark's mother was Harriet McFadden and his father was Arnold Gibson. Clark was born in 1894 in Fairfield, Vermont and had three sisters: May, Arilla, and Adessa. I am told that there are men in the family named Lewis and Meriwether.

I believe that this is a connection to my family.Do you have any other details about your aunt(Clarks wife).I think that this was a different wife.I have an old family letter from a A.M Gibson Page...could this be one of his sisters.I also have a photograph of Hattie and Arnold's Headstone in New Jersey.Where does the name Meriwether come in? I am looking for any info. on all aspects of our family(both past and present).

My aunt was Sophia Danko, who was born in Austria-Poland in about 1900. By 1923 she was living in Albany, NY and had married Clark Gibson (I don't have a wedding date). Clark's grandson told me that Clark had been married previously to a ship captain's daughter (I don't have a name) from Scotland and had two children by her. I was told that she and her children went back to Scotland and were never heard from again. One of Clark's daughters told me Clark is a descendent of George Gibson who was a member of the Lewis and Clark expedition, headed by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, and there are supposed to be lots of men in the family named Meriwether, Lewis, William, and Clark.

I just saw your post to the Gibson Message Board, and it looks like we're talking about the same Clark Gibson. Clark was born on June 20, 1894 and died on January 20, 1984. My e-mail address is sjdanko@wenet.net. Hope to hear from you soon.

Do you have a death certificate for your Hattie Fadden who married Clark Gibson? Possibly that might have the names of her parents.
