Would like to make contact with anyone research the family of William Fulton Farewell-Farwell and his wife Sarah Cornwall.
My line follows through with their son, Amos, who spelt his name Fairwell and his wife Anna Marie Russ. Amos and family lived in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada.

I am also descended from William and Sarah, I think through their son James, who would have been my great-great grandfather (I'm still trying to confirm this.) I do know William's grandson, John James Farewell was my great-grandfather. I have a picture of William and Sarah you might like, and would very much like to connect and share information. Good to hear from you! If you give me an email address I can send a family history written in 1978 by one of Acheus Moody's descendants. I also have a copy of A. Moody's will and a few other articles about him and his brother William. A. Moody's fourth son was also named Acheus Moody. There is a paragraph about him and his family in the history as well. Just let me know and I'd be happy to send them along!

Tannis has an application by William Taulton FAREWELL in 1798 for 200 acres of land. Says he is 21 at the time he made this application. I think this is the person we had as William Fulton FAREWELL with a dob of 1777.

Tannis, My friend's grandmother was a Farewell - descended from William, the first Ackeus Moody's brother who came to Ontario County, Oshawa,Ontario, Canada just before 1800 from White River Junction, Vermont with some of his siblings and mother. One of them settled around Grimsby, Hamilton area of Ontario.
I know Dawn would be thrilled if she could get a copy of Willliam's land application and copies of any Farewell photos you have. I've been doing a lot of on-line research for her, so you can send it to me. I will pay you for the cost of copying and mailing the book. What is the book's name and who is it by? I have the copy of Ontario County by A.J. Farewell, Q.C., who served the longest term by anyone on the Ontario County Council. Thanks so much Tannis. Hi Joan. Great to hear from you! Most of what I have I can send online if you give me your email address. You can also see much of it on my Farewell ancestry.com tree. I could send you an invitation to that as well. I don't have it on mine yet, but there's a picture of William's house on Carol Fischer's and Kevin West's tree that's very neat. I have a book called Oshawa by M. McIntyre Hood that has a chapter on the Farewells. The history I mention in the posting was written by Mrs. Llewella Hay, a descendent of A.Moody and was given to me by the Oshawa museum. That I can easily email. I have discovered that both the Oshawa and the Whitby libraries subscribe to ancestry.com and their members can use this site free. Oshawa is more convenient for me, so I'll be looking at your info in more detail there. I'll pass on to my friend Dawn the information. Her brother Paul has more info than she does, so if he has some info you don't then we'll send it on to you. I live in Newcastle, which is about 20 minutes from Oshawa, and drive past the private Farewell cemetery on Harmony Road daily. Where do you live?
