I'm no kin , I just do a LOT of reading about Baylor County. I don't know if you need or already have this information, but Mr. Suttlemyer's first name was Sampson. One of the books I have says he was sherrif from 1889-1894.

Ten years later I found your post looking for Sam Suttlemeyer. If you are still out there, I am Sam's great granddaughter through his daughter Iva Jessie (married to Abercrombie Holmes).

HELLO ppayne71,

Been doing other research and now back to BAYLOR CO. Thanks for responding. Sorry it's taken this long to get back...I've found some information on Sam that I was looking for. As said before, my g,grandmother was the youngest 'Suttlemyer" child. Would enjoy sharing info with you. I've chat with a 'David" from Ga also.

Again, sorry it's been so long.

Dan

I would be interested in any information you have about Sam Suttlemyer. I'm guessing the David in Georgia must be my cousin who I haven't seen since we were children.
Thank you.
