I am searching for information on my elusive gg grandmother ALMIRA SCOTT. Her middle initial may be "V".
She married Isaac Newton JEFFERS of Watertown, Jefferson County, NY b. 1835. He is the son of Alba JEFFERS and Diantha Phoebe JEFFERS.
I am not sure where they married. They are in Beloit, Rock Co., WI 1860, living in the same house hold is HORACE M SCOTT a physician. He is 62 years old in 1860 and no birth place is listed.
I know they had 2 children together
William Albert JEFFERS b. IA or WI 1865 and Newton Isaac JEFFERS b. July 1867, Cedar Rapids.

Danthia's Last name was Newton. :)

I don't know if Horace Scott's probate file would be of any help. It is file Number 2009 dated 7 July 1873. Rock Co Historical Society came help you out with that.
