Hi,

I am looking for information after emigration on Frans/Frank Cederpalm (changed his last name from Larsson), b. 7 APR 1892 in Undersvik, Gävleborgs län, Sweden.
Emigrated 13 JUL 1910 from Bispgården, Fors, Jämtlands län, Jämtland.

Found this death notice on Familysearch.org. If this is him it looks like he died pretty young.

I don't find a marriage for Frank in the Illinois State Archives, which includes Cook County marriages.

I believe you misinterpreted an entry:

Title: Death Record Indexes, 1871 - 1916 Cook County, Illinois

9 - Callahan, Ann - Cederpalm, Frank

** This means film #9 includes names of deaths for people with last names between Callahan, Ann and Cederpalm, Frank.
These two did not marry.

Do you subscribe to Ancestry.com? You probably have the following entries for a Frank CEDERPALM:

You can find military records showing a man with this name served in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Caifornia on the west coast.

A border crossing from Canada to the U.S. in August of 1900 showed a destination of Seattle, near the northwest coast. His final destination was to join his uncle P. E. PETERSON in Silverdale, Washington (east of Seattle, where I actually attended school).

Other ship records can be found here on Ancestry.com.

1911 Grays Harbor, Washington (direct on the northwest coast of the U.S.) city directory: Frank CEDERPALM, driver.

I think all of these records mesh well with the Swedish emigration and passenger lists records for your Frans/Frank CEDERPALM.

No obituary found, no burial record found online.

Hi Beth and willj1111

Thank you so much for the information that you provided.
He was only 23 when he died so I guess there were no children.

Beth, I don't have a subscription to Ancestry.

Does the "Uncle P. E. PETERSON" entry on his ship passenger list fit with your family?

1910 Silverdale, Kitsap County, Washington had two men named Peter PETERSON, born Sweden, both within a couple of years of each other.

Hi,

I've just completed his fathers parents and siblings and he had 3 siblings that emigrated, none that are named Petersson but one of his two sisters may have married a Petersson after arriving in the US as they were both single at the time of emigration

Eric J LARSON, born May 1857 Sweden, wife Sarah M., born July 1860, and several children are found in the 1900 census for Milton, Norfolk County, state of Massachusetts.

In May of 1920 this family is still located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, about as far away from Seattle, Frank CEDERPALM's destination in 1910 as possible.

Hi,

I found his mothers brother which may be a match to the uncle Frank mentioned when immigrating.

Per/Peter Pettersson, b. 5 APR 1855 in Södra Finnskoga, Värmlands län, Värmland.
Emigrated 30 MAY 1883 from Kyrkbyn no 9, Undersvik, Värlmlands län, Värmland.

What do you think, could that be the uncle?
