We have a marriage certificate dated 29th February 1906. It's very faded but looks like D. C. Church of Calkause.Co State of W.NA and William Rince or Riuce of Raan.Co State of W.NA. It also mentions something that looks like Triklett.
I'm in England so not familiar with Counties and States mentioned.
We would like to return the certificate to the family if possible.

Thank you for your reply. As far aw we can see it's D. C. Church of Calkause.Co State of W.NA and William Rince or Riuce of Raan.Co State of W.NA
Unfortunately it's very faded but a beautiful certificate.

There is no county anywhere in the USA named Raan. There is no town listed in the town county finder by this name either. Would it be possible for you to scan the marriage certificate and upload it as an attachment in this thread? Maybe one of us would be able to make out what it says.

I don't have the certificate, it belongs to a friend who asked for help. I'll ask her to scan it and upload it

The overly flowery writing of late 19th - early 20th century America can be problematic. Also, the abbreviations for the states were different than those used today. The state of West Virginia would have been abbreviated W.Va. I have seen many 'V' entries transcribed as S or N.

Just did a quick check of counties in West Virginia (W.Va) and found Roane County & Calhoun County. The two counties border each other making it very logical for a marriage between families from Roane and Calhoun.

Do you know what religion they were? I wonder of the D. C. could be R. C. for Roman Catholic?
