While researching the 1922 Knickerbocker Theater Disaster, I located a death certificate and an article in The Washignton Star Newspaper about David Hinkley Lyman, a 16 year old victim. He was born in Washington, DC, on September 10, 1904, son of David H. Lyman (native of Washington, DC) and Josephine Trenhold, (native of Charleston, SC).

David Hinkley Lyman attended the theater with his friend, Kirkland Duke, who was also killed. He was well known in juvenile athletic circles and was a member of the Adams School baseball team. He ws employed temporarily at the Patent Office at the time of his death.

If anyone is interested in the certificate or the newspaper article, please contact me at chambersdk@yahoo.com.
