I have an iMac with Mac OS X Ver. 10.8.4 I have Family Tree Maker 2 Ver. 21.2.3.453
Ever since I installed Family Tree Maker I haven't been able to access the internet through it. Therefore, I was never able to registered the software or activated my subscription. I am not real computer savy and would appreciate any help in resolving this problem as it has frustrated me for many hours.
When I click "Go Online" it tells me "You are now offline".

You have an existing Ancestry account, otherwise you wouldn't be able to post on the board.

In order for FTMM to be "on-line", it requires you to be logged/signed-in to your ACOM account from the FTMM program.

If the FTMM application is open, quit it.

Then fire it back up, and log-in, using your ACOM username and password. See dashboard on the right side and "Login", if the program doesn't prompt to log in to your Ancestry Account.

I have just installed FTM on a Mac and had the same problem. Go to 'Check for updates' and install latest update. This fixed the problem for me.

Thanks all, I'm back up and running. I deleted then reinstalled the software and checked for updates. This corrected my problem.
