I am researching Arens that migrated
from Germany to Wisconsin in late 1800's.
Father was William, wife Dora and son
John. John born 13/12/1868 in "Doin Courts"
Germany. Died in Wisconsin in 1903, but
don't know where parents went and it
there were any kin left in Germany

Hi -

I am VERY new to this search stuff - so PLEASE forgive my ignorance when it comes to explaining what I have... Here is all the info I have on the name ARENS. These are relatives on my mother's side and were all from GERMANY - we think...

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANY CONNECTION

Here is the small part of myfamily that involves the name ARENS:

Anna Maria Arens, b.?
married Johann Mayer on 5/28/1799

they had a daughter
Maria Mayer b.8/4/1819

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Sorry
I don't think there is any connection. The
Arens I look for didn't get here from Germany
'til the mid 1800's Thanks Karen A

Hi,

Am am also looking for Arens or Ahrens that came from Germany and settled in Wisconsin around Verona. My Great grandmother Bertha Ahrens was born c 1874 to Frederick Ahrens and Minna_______. They had several children.

If you think we might have a link I have several picture of family from the 1800 all with no names.

My husband is an ancestor of Anton Arens from Prussia, buried in St. Paul, Mo, Molitar Cemetery. I have information on his decendants, but have very little information on Anton. Just wondering if you have been able to find anything else.
