Surnames: Bargeron Bargemanon
Has anyone ever run into the surname Bargeron being misspelled as Bargemanon? I have a gg-grandmother named Talitha or Felitha who was living in Burke Co., Georgia, in 1850, who was reported by a cousin of mine to have been surnamed Bargemanon. However, that surname does not exist (and the cousin is now deceased, so I can't check into her sources). I noticed that there were a number of Bargerons in that county at that time, and was wondering if Talitha might have been connected to them instead.

Thanks

Felitha Overstreet is in my tree also, I do belive it was Felitha, not Talitha.
I'm going to change the spelling and I got 1812 as a guess, 1850 sounds more like it. Thanks
Anything I can do for you, invite you to see my tree, I will happily do.
