As far back as I can go is 1770 when Joseph Cockroft was born and he married Susannah Smith September 3, 1792. The line from there that I am decended from is Joseph Cockroft and Hannah, and I don't have a last name for her. If you have one I would appreciate it.Then it goes down to Wm. John Cockroft whose first wife was Mary Riley, I am decended from the second wife Martha Lockwood. Would be interested to hear from you if you have further info,

Yes, that is who I am. My mother tried to do extensive family history, but she has MS and so was hindered in doing a lot. I'm now trying to do some, but I'm going rather slow. You must have the next generation past Joseph and Susannah. I think Evelyn Cockroft Babcock visited my mother several years ago. Do you know Elsie Cockroft Rickerson in Nebraska? I would be interested in what you have. Are you related to Evelyn? Probably Evelyn has whatever my mother was able to collect. We are having a Cockroft reunion on August 8th. We had one two years ago and it was really great. Do they still have those reunions in Colorado that they use to? Elsie use to tell me about them. There was about a third cousin of mine that had some info from England at the last one, I'll try and get whatever he has and pass it on to you.
