Sorry that I cannot help with your query, but there is a publication that could possibly help you. Coffey Cousins' Clearinghouse, Bonnie Culley, 1416 Green Berry Road, Jefferson City, Mo 65101-3620. The cost is $8.00 per year.

My maiden name is Coffee. I have been told that my "family homestead" was in Geneva,Florida. Near Orlando. I am just beginning my search for the Coffee family I came from. I would be interested in anything you happen to find out. I am new at this (both internet and ancestry.)

I drive through Clinch Co. GA on my way to a relative's house. There is a genealogy library in one of the towns. I would be willing to stop if I had more info on what you are looking for (i.e., specific names.)

As far back as I have been able to document, my Coffee lineage begins in Rabun County, Georgia with James Calton Coffee, born November 13, 1819. I have been unable to locate his parents at this time, be have eliminated a few choices. James Calton Coffee married Adaline Burns in 1835 and won the lottery for land in the newly stolen Cherokee lands, now known as Cherokee County, Georgia. He raised a family there, lost his first son at age 15, and they endured the ravages of the Civil War which stomped through Cherokee County on the way to Atlanta and the Sea.
The entire family along with others now related such as the Wilkes, and Leonards, packed a 16-20 wagon train and headed for northern Arkansas, Baxter County. It is there that you may search for this family history.
