Look for ancestors of Cain (Kane) and Elizabeth Derenzy who came to Canada from Ireland in the late 1860s and then into Michigan. Their children were Edward, John, William, Elizabeth. There may have been more children. Thank you.

My great grandfather (of MA)married (1888)an Anne Elizabeth De Rinzy of "Cavan Co. Durham, Canada West"(born July 26, 1862). Anne's sister was Mary Jane De Rinzy (b.Sept. 24, 1860). They were daaughters of John De Rinzy and Catherine Mc Cormick (married on Nov. 25, 1859, Cavan Co. Durham Canada West. John De Rinzy is burried in Bellevue Cemetary, City of Lawrence (group 9 No. 32) My father spelled his middle name De Renzi, any explanation? Error?

According to the Euphemia Twp. Census of Lambton County, Canada. Cain(60)and Elizabeth(50)Derenzy lived with their three children Edward(26), William (12) and Elizabeth (10). There was also another brother John who was just younger than Edward. Edward is my husband's gg grandfather. I have seen the name spelled several ways. I don't know how the changes came about, possibly through misunderstanding and illiteracy. This Derenzy family is not listed on the 1871 census, as they came to Michigan about this time. Please let me know if you have any connections to this Derenzy line. Thank you for your time and help. Michele
