Rachel (EVENSDATTER) FINGERSON Obituary, b. 1830, d. 1902

Mrs. Rachel Fingerson of Cobb, wife of John Fingerson, who died some six years ago, departed this life last Friday, aged nearly 72 years.
She was afflicted with paralysis of the stomach.
She leaves a family of six children - three boys and three girls, and three brothers: Eleck Evers of Fennimore; John Everson of Rolfe, Ia. and Jule Everson of South Dakota.
The funeral was held on Sunday; G. M. Gunderson, who married a niece of the deceased, and wife, and Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Gilbertson, being present besides all the children.

FREDRICK FINGERSON
Fredrick Fingerson, the oldest son of Andrew and Rachel Fingerson, was born in the Town of Linden, January 24, 1858.
He passed away June 9, 1943, attaining the age of 85 years, 6 months and 15 days.
He grew to manhood in Iowa county, Wis., where he also lived all his life.
He affiliated with Bethlehem church but received his early Christian training in Otter Creek church.
On Sept. 7, 1882 he was married to Carrie Hanson and to this union were born 11 children, five of whom preceded him in death.
Besides his widow he leaves to mourn his departure six children: Mrs. Joseph Martin, Mrs. Alfrie Dale, Sirs. Clara Anderson, Fred and Lawrence Fingerson all of Dodgeville, and Mrs. Arthur Heuer of Montfort; there are also 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren besides two brothers, John and Edward Fingerson, one sister, Mrs. Mary Thorison of Edmund, and many nephews and nieces to mourn his departure.
The last years Mr. Fingerson has not been able to do much work but by the aid of his good wife has taken care of himself in their home. Finally he was stricken so he must be brought to the hospital where he was taken care of till he passed away.
Funeral services were conducted from Lulloff's Funeral home at 1:30 o'clock and from East Bethlehem church at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Bethlehem cemetery, Rev. B. O. Steffenson officiating.

Mary (FINGERSON) THORISON Obituary, b. 1864, d. 1950

MRS. MARY THORISON
Mrs. Mary Thorison passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Johnson, Edmund, Jan. 16 after a brief illness at the age of 85 years, nine months and three days.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rachael Fingerson.
Born April 13, 1864 in the town of Linden.
June 4, 1883 she was married to Thomas Thorison, who passed away Dec. 11, 1918; also three children preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thorison leaves to mourn six children: John of Dodgeville; Mrs. Clarence Croft of Evansville; Mrs. Ned Johnson, Mrs. Merle Christianson of Dodgeville, Mrs. Carl Johnson, Edmund, and Claire, Mineral Point; one brother, John Fingerson of Dodgeville; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a member of the Bethlehem church and Ladies' Aid.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 18, from the Carl Johnson home to the East Bethlehem church and cemetery.
