I am a descendant of Johann and CatherineFry)
Heck/HAKE of southern York Co.His son WM is my ggggrandfather. Wm had several brothers and sisters. Two of his brothers,Samuel and Frederick left Pennsylvania by 1823. Samuel was known to be in Kentucky.Their father is buried as Heck their mother as Hake.I would like to share notes with any interestd party researching the Hake family.

HI THANKS FOR WRITING ME AND FOR THE INFO.
I AM GOING TO WRITE SOME OF THE ADDRESSES THAT YOU GAVE ME AT LEAST THE ONES THAT SOUND FAMILIAR TO MY MOTHER BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER MET ANY OF THE HAKES AND AS FAR AS I KNOW MY FATHER NEVER LET HIS FAMILY KNOW HE HAD ANY CHILDREN. IN FACT I AM 23 YRS. OLD ANY RIGHT BEFORE I TURNED 18 I MET MY REAL FATHER HIS NAME IS GEORGE LEE HAKE BUT I DONT KNOW ANY MORE ABOUT HIM I DO KNOW THAT I AM THE ONE OF THREE CHILDREN I HAVE 2 BROTHERS ONE IS JACOB AND HE IS 21 AND I HAVE A BROTHER NAMED GEORGE LEE HAKE AND HE IS OLDER THAN ME AS FAR AS I KNOW BUT I HAVE NEVER MET HIM ANY INFO. WILL REALLY HELP.
GEORGE'S THE BROTHERS MOTHERS NAME IS ROSE SALADA.

Christy I have no other information for you. I thought I mentioned that I am not related to your Hake's. I am in York CO PA.close to the PA-MD border.Lawrence Co is up state near Pittsburg.I do wish you luck though.

I was amazed to see the name Hake. I grew
up in Oklahoma and the only Hakes we knew
were my grandparents, Orin Elsmere born 12-14-1890 his father was William Napoleon Hake
and was a vet. I think originally they were
from the Dakotas.
My grandfather had a sister Sylvia, and several brothers who died of diptheria. One
was named Louis.

There are alot of Hake's around in PA,OH,KY and throughout the US.We're here just gotta look for us.I have seen a Lewis Hake in Hake records I have searched from either Lancaster, Berks or York Co. Not my line so I just made a mental note of it.
