There are so few Jaggers...my (great) uncle was Dean Jagger, and oscar-winning actor born around 1920. Are there any other Jaggers out there who know of being related to him?

I have been researching Dean Jagger, the Oscar-winning actor, for over three years! As far as I know, I am not related to him but he was born near the community in which I live.

I have gathered a lot of information about him and would be willing to share it, including a copy of his 1947 marriage license to Gloria Joan Ling. Right now I am seeking information about his three wives.

I do know that his first wife was Antoinette DuPre Lawrence (or Lowrance). Dean and Antoinette were married in January 1935 in Massachusetts. (I hope to obtain a copy of their marriage license in the future.) They were divorced around 1943, and in January 1947 he was married to Gloria Ling in New Mexico.

His third marriage was to Etta Winger Norton. However, I am not sure when he was divorced from Gloria and when he was married to Etta. Some sources state that Dean and Etta were married in 1968 while others state 1966. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated.

That's about all for now. By the way, if Dean were alive today, he'd be 96 years old! His birthday was November 7, 1903, and he was born near Columbus Grove, Ohio (which is near Lima, Ohio). According to birth records, his full name was Ira Dean Jagger.

If you have any information to share about Dean, I would be thrilled. Likewise, I am willing to share information I have. Thanks!

Hi,
My grandfather was Frank Oswald Jagger. He was born in the late 1880s or early 1890s on Prince Edward Island. As a child the family moved to Mass. As was too common at the time he received a 4th grade eduacation and then was put to work in the mills. At some point the family moved to Colo. He was married, lived in Wyoming, Canada, and finally back to Pueblo CO where he died in 1949. He had a number of brothers and sisters and there are still Jagger's in the Denver, Colo Springs, and Pueblo area.

Glenn

PS. I'm just getting going in this genealogy thing so I don't have a lot of information.

Read your posting on Message Board. I am starting research on Jagger Fam Tree. Do you have the parents and grandparents of Dean Jagger? If so, could you E-Mail them. I believe my husband's great=grandparents and Dean's were the same. Thank you
