Looking for KARDOS info on the family of Karoly Paul KARDOS b.abt 1936 in Budapest, Hungary. He came to Canada around 1959. It is thought that he was married in Hungary with a wife and son who stayed there when he left. Nothing more in known for certain about his family there. We would like to find any leads possible to tracing his family tree.
Any thing may help. It might be possible that some of his famly also left Hungary around that time.

CORRECTION and MORE:
It is believed Karoly (Charlie) Paul KARDOS came to Canada closer to 1956 during the mass exodus from Hungary after the Soviet crackdown.
No names are known of his family in Hungary. Only that he at least had a brother and that Karoly came from the Budapest area to Canada. It is known that he had been married in Hungary and had a son. Again no names are known.
My step-son was a product of a Canadian marriage in 1962 and he would like to find what he can on his Hungarian ancestry. Karoly died in 1964.
Someone sent me the link for a Hungarian phone directory. Since we do not know any names of anyone left in Hungary it is not of much use at this time, but thank you for the attempt.
Is there any listing available of those who came from Hungary around 1956? I am hoping that maybe some record of him leaving Hungary or coming to Canada may contain family names in Hungary. I do understand that privacy and protection of those left in Hungaary at the time may make this difficult but the man as gone and his son would like to know more about him and his family. And maybe Karoly's Hungarian family would like to know what happened to him.
