Rose Cl LaFountain B Batavia NY 4/6/1874, M. Alfred F. Colton 6/28/1899 in Batavia. 4 siblings: Harriot (Hattie), Sylvia, Gladys, Schuyler. Rose's parents names unknown, (marriage recs not microfilmed), but Rose's Father immigrated to Canada from Alsace-Lorraine when 5. Any connections appreciated.

i have a gggrandfather named oliver born around feb 9,1837in canada.married a emily beauchamp march 1920.

that is all i know if you have any more information it would be greatly appreciated.

My Grandfather Harry Lafountain Married Pearl La Course in canada. Moved to usa.that would have been 1800's. I beleve all La Fountains went from france to canada to us. most of our names were shortened from La Fountaine. check that last name in canada

My gg-grandfather's name was O.Peter Lafountain, he was born in 1868 in Dannemora, New York. We do not have his parents names, they were not listed, I'm wondering if your Oliver was his father. My gg-grandfather did not use the O. but it was put on his headstone, he went by Peter. Please let me know, he has been my mother's deadend for quite some time. Thank You. Nickie
