Debbie..my mother is Betty Mae Leming from the Bradley Beach/Neptune area. Her father is Ernest. Mother, I believe, is Margaret VanNote. Not a happy childhood so information is sketchy. My mother was born in 1927(or so). Cousins Olive, Irene Hardy, Dotty Glenney. My mother is still alive so she can talk if she wants to! If you can help me find or if I can help you find, please let me know. Wont that be fun? Betsy

No, I am afraid not, Bobby. My grandfather has been gone since 1959-60. I dont believe he was in the WW but he was a fire chief at Bradley Beach and Avon by the Sea. My Aunt Olive used to babysit for "little Jackie Nicholson" and tells me of the time he was walking to the beach with a sandwich and his mother's purse. She (the mother/sister) is related to us (Lemings)also. It would be nice if we were connected somehow so keep searching. Good Luck Bets

Maggie Van Note might be my grandmother's sister. It is a very sad childhood story. My grandmother grew up in New Jersey. Was your Maggie born in the 1870's? Was her maiden name Grant? Did she marry Holmes Van Note? Would love to hear if this connects.
