I am looking for the parents of Dorothée PELLISIER and Joseph DEGUIRE (dit DESROSIERS), m 22 Feb 1810, most likely around St. Michel, Yamaska county, Quebec province.

Have Joseph DEGUIRE dit DESROSIER b.8 JUN 1778 St. Michel D'Yamaska, son of Antoine/Dorothee LAVALLEE.
Married 27 FEB 1810 St. Michel D'Yamaska
Dorothee PELISSIER dite LaFEUILLADE b.31 MAY 1787 St. Michel D'Yamaska daughter of Francois Regis/ Marie Dorothee BRISBOIS.
Have more if needed.

Thanks for the quick reply and the good data. I had been looking for those for quite a while. They are in my great-grandmother's (Clarinthe Boisvert) lineage. I should be able to work them back in my Tanguay and/or Red Drouin marriage listings now. Thank you mucho.

Mom came from Northampton-Amherst, MA area. The family always talked about her grandfather coming down the Connecticut River Valley from Canada. Any suggestions as to where to start. (I do not read or speak French)

It all depends on where you are living. There are quite a few French Canadian library groups thru-out the country.
If you tell me a city and state maybe I can locate on for you.

Hi Bill
Go to web site ( this is a genealogical organization in Woonsocket,RI.
They can get you started in the right direction as they probably have more current info. Most of what I have is before 1830's.
If they don't seem to have what you need there is another American-Canadian organization in Manchester, New Hampshire that is real good.
