I belong to the Patiala and Bikaner Sarwals. My father was Rai Bahadur Nehal Chand Sarwal, Bikaner and grand father Tara chand Sarwal, Sarwal Street, Patiala.
I would love to hear from any Sarwal and establish contact. We have a fairly long ancestral history and will be able to connect each other, given some time.
Please do get in touch.

Surnames: sarwal
Hi,
As you must have guessed I am Sarwal too.And I live in Patiala!!We have an old ancestral house in Sarwal Street, too.
I am Aarti Sarwal .Did my MBBS from Govt. Medical College .Patiala and now studying to take my tests for getting into a residency. I was tempted to reply to your message because I had a cousin in med school (my nephew by relation, actually) and his name is Karan Sarwal. And I hadn’t heard of him ever before then. His family is in Bhatinda and he’s doing an ophthalmology residency.
I always wondered when people express their surprise at the surname and was awed to find there are so many sarwals spread out all over the world.
May be we could get in touch and build a family tree…

Regards
Aarti

I think at least we sarwals living in India, especially in Patiala, Chandigarh and other cities and towns of Punjab should do our bit to put together a family tree before all history is lost.

We could meet once at Patiala or Chandigarh and contact nos can be found from directory search or other info, record what we know and ask for additions on the net.

This would give some idea to all of us about our ancestory.

Regards and hugs

Dear Aarti,
Saw your message. I am not the Karan Sarwal you studied medicine with, but I also belong to the Sarwal Clan from Sarwal Street, Patiala. My father was Nehal Chand Sarwal who owned a house in Sarwal Street, later sold to Dr.Ruldu Ramji. He had moved to Bikaner, Rajastahan. I believe Dr. Ruldu Ramji's family now stays there. Do you belong to that family?
Would love to hear more from you and more family details.
We have started a Facebook account of the Sarwal Clan who are the decendents of Nehal Chand Sarwal. They happen to be spread all over the world and this is the only way to keep in touch!!
Wait to hear from you.
