I have traced the VOLP family line back to a Casper VOLP born in Freienseen on 14th December 1658. He seems to be the furthest back VOLP that anyone has traced. He settled in Steinfurth. I would like to trace his parentage in Freienseen but how? Does anyone have any information on this person.

I do not have any information back that far!

I am trying to trace relatives of Heinrich "Henry" Volp b. 1823 who came over from Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany in 1849. He first settled in Maryland and then around 1865 settled in Blue Island (Chicago subarb ) , Illinois.

I do seem to remember seeing a couple of Caspar Volp's coming over to the U.S. from Germany but none would have been back that far.

Any help you could give me would be appreciated and if I come across anything I will share it.

Kristine
