Your family is mostly right here in Houston! There are two Berry sisters still living. That could fill most of your blanks for you and there are two Wooten brothers here also. One O'Beil just moved back to the east Texas area. His name is Slyvester O'Neil. Your best bet is to contact one of these people because they can fill in most of the blanks for you because I am only 25 years old there's not much I can tell you. But there are Berry family tree books floating around maybe you can ask around and someone in your area may have one. I know my sister in California has one, and my aunt here in Houston has one I'm not sure about in East Texas because I don't know many people there but I am very familar with the names you mentioned. Also ask around about Jasper and Izola Berry wich is my great grand mother and farther and you would have found your roots. Please feel free to e mail me.

Thank you so much for responding. I'm also in Houston and very farmiliar with the names you have mentioned. Although i don't have adequate knowledge regarding Jasper Berry. The two living Berry sisters you are possibly talking about is Mozella in Houston and Vernice in California.
I also live in Houston, age 30, and i was interested in gathering information about our heritage and rich family history. I would love to obtain a copy of the Berry history book and information regarding the founders of Fodice, Tx. If this is the case i'm pretty sure there were political ties. Which is also interesting because if the town was established in the early 1800's or early 1900's.
Thanks again.

Hi! It's me again. Well you are right there is some rich family histroy. Right now my mom, grand mother Catherine , and Great Aunt are the deed holders to 21 acres of land another Berry owns 23 and another 20. That is only 64 acres of land there is another 38 left unaccounted for. See we don't know each and every body in our family. PLEASE BELIEVE THIS FAMILY IS HUGE!!!!!!! What I am trying to do is locate the people that I don't know. If you want to know more about your family history we have a family cemetary in Fodice Go can go up there and see if there is any names that you are familiar with and maybe we can answer each other's questions. I already have a big family but can always use more. Gotta Go E-Mail me back when you get this I usually check my e-mails about this time.

Actually my grandfather the late Booker T. Berry owns 99 acres of land which was willed to his children. This land is near Thankful Church... I'm not sure about land around Fodice. Although my g grandfather Luther Berry owned land there (we call it the bottom).
Once i hit retirement age, i'm building a house on our property. Its so beautiful there. At night you can see every star God put on in the universe.
Also my grandmother and grandfather (among many other relatives) are buried in Fodice. I'm very knowledgable about the community. I visit Lovelady and Fodice at least once a month.

Hey Tiffany I havn't heard from you in a couple of days. Are you o.k.? Some one read our letters from North Carolina and said that she was a decendant of the Berry family. Do you remember I told you that there was two brothers that were never accounted for. She said that her great grand father was a run away slave and he setteled in North Carolina do you think that there is something to that. She also said that it was irnoic that I mentioned how all of our nose looked alike. She said that where she's from that every one always tell her that she has the Berry nose what do you think?
