Looking for Veronia Jancu, or Jancu, who may have come from the Moravia - Slovinkia or Slovikia area, or may not have. She married a Kasaj, which everyone seems to insist is a Czech name, but he was born in Vienna, Austria, which is where they immigrated from. The family fable is that Veronica' and her family lived in the mountains and her father was an itinerent cabinnet maker, and/or a farmer... not rich either way. Her father or grandparents on one side may have be Jewish. More fables. Sigh. Anyway, I'm desperate to find Veronica Jancu - (or Janca) Kasay (or some form of that name)

Hi. I'm interested in Veronica and her history as well. She's Czech, right? I was adopted and I'm pretty sure she's my biological great grandmother. They changed their name to Kashay when they came to the state. My biological mother's last name is Kashay. I also see her listed as "Verona" on Familysearch.org.
