My g-grandfather was Samuel Simpson. Supposedly came from
somewhere in Idaho. I found a WWI civilian draft registration
for him in Shoshone Co. Idaho. Date of bith is July 24,
1878. He married my g-grandmother in St. Maries Idaho in
1917. They lived in mason County WA. He disappreared
sometime during the late 1930's early 1940's. That is all
the info I have on him. Any input would be great.

Most of my Fathers Family lives in Iowa, after looking up for a Family Tree we have found that my G-G-G-Grandfather John Simpson was married in Indiana. But then moved to Iowa where he and his wife Clarissa (Baker) are buried. I have the name of his father which was John Simpson and his birth date of April 30, 1774. If you could be of any help I would greatly appreciate it. You can E-mail me at dannae93@uswest.net or reply to this message. I check the message boards every few days. Thanks Becky

The original John Simpson I know came from Virginia and moved to Elkhart, Indiana in 1834. He could very well have been born during the late 1700's. Since his son, my great grandfather, was born in 1840, he could have had a brother named John and, of course, I know that he had a son named John C. who was the Secretary of Agriculture for the state of Iowa during the early 1900's. This John would have been my grandfather's brother. It would be nice if we could figure this all out. Do you know where they were located in Iowa? George family (maybe also brothers) moved to Knoxville, Iowa where he lived at 7th and Washington and served as County Recorder in 1883. One of his other sons worked for the Knoxville Journal, but I do not know his name.
